Satun International Kite Festival

From March 4th until march 7th, Volker joined the 36. Kitefestival in Satun/Thailand. 

On the first day, a press flying and the parade took place, followed by the opening ceremony. 

Besides some kite-eating trees, the event was supplied by very suitable conditions. 

During the Rokakku challenge, the monkey king rokakku managed to stay aloft quite a long time, but had to give way to the winning team from China. 

The wind was ok for most of the time. No rain (not even at the last day before packing) changed the grass field into a red pitch. 

On the monday after the kite flying days, a "white" water kayaking tour was a welcome entertainment.
